Shurjoint Products in Harsh Mining Conditions
A gold mining operation in Kambalda, Western Australia, required a durable and corrosion-resistant piping solution for its pump set, operating in an environment with high salinity and extreme conditions. ABBA Engineering in Kalgoorlie selected Shurjoint mechanical couplings and valves for a 12-month performance evaluation to assess their suitability for the challenging site conditions.
Throughout the 12-month testing period, the Shurjoint H307 HDPE to Steel Transition Couplings, SJ-300 Butterfly Valve, and SJ-915 Dual Disc Check Valve were subjected to high moisture levels,
fluctuating pressures, and corrosive elements. The results demonstrated exceptional durability, superior corrosion resistance, leak-free operation, and ease of maintenance & installation.
